OUR VISION: Let's Get Ready envisions a world where students from all socioeconomic backgrounds have equal access to the support they need to reach higher education and where college students, as a movement, realize their collective potential to help the next generation step up to college.

OUR MISSION: Let’s Get Ready expands access to college for motivated, low-income high school students using the mentoring power of college students as role models.

OUR MODEL: Let's Get Ready's local programs throughout the northeast operate within a cost-effective, results-driven, scalable program model that includes:

39 hours of SAT preparation:

  • 15 hours of math skill-building
  • 15 hours of verbal skill-building
  • 3 practice SAT tests
  • Taught in seminar-style groups with no more than 5 students per volunteer Coach

At least 15 hours of college choice and application guidance on:

  • College research, selection and visits
  • Essay writing
  • Financial aid applications
  • Scholarship opportunity research and applications
  • Career exploration
  • One-on-one mentoring with adults, young professionals and college role models
