Donations to Let’s Get Ready, large or small, have an immediate impact on our programs and directly transform the lives of our students and their families.

Let's Get Ready is a wise investment. It currently costs only $500 per student (or $20,000 per program) to replicate our program model. And we are proud of the way we manage our funds - currently, 81 cents of every dollar raised goes directly to our students.

College Student Coaches Can Make a Difference.

"It takes persistence! To get students to do what I needed them to do, what they needed to do...to show up, to do homework, demanded persistence."

It was a lesson Kate learned as a volunteer college student Coach for Let's Get Ready. Kate set up email accounts for all of her students to keep up with them and check on homework, and her students loved her constant reminders and affirmation. One student, Alice, told Kate she was very grateful that Let's Get Ready helped her feel more prepared and less scared about the SATs and college.

Alice and the other students benefited from Kate’s persistence, and Kate benefited as well. It was because of her Let's Get Ready experience that Kate chose to apply to Teach for America, continuing her commitment to making a difference in the lives of hundreds of underserved young people.
