Site Director and Assistant Site Director Positions

Position Responsibilities

Site Director & Assistant Site Director Responsibilities:

  • Operate the site in compliance with LGR standards and guidelines.
  • Attend LGR conferences and meetings.
  • Submit recommendations on effective site management to assist in future program development.

Site Director Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for effective program management.
  • Recruit volunteer coaches in collaboration with the Assistant Site Director .
  • Recruit high school students in cooperation with the site contact and the Assistant Site Director.
  • Develop a program calendar and program plan.
  • Supervise day-to-day program operations, including all issues related to space, materials, expenses, and student participation.
  • Communicate regularly with the site administration.
  • University Sites: Maintain contact with a faculty advisor and/or university staff adviser(s).
  • If applicable, appoint and oversee officer leadership (Math and Verbal Head Coaches, Development Manager, & others).
  • Organize and conduct Curriculum Planning Meetings in collaboration with the Assistant Site Director (and the Math and Verbal Head Coaches).
  • Manage finances, including spending on snacks.
  • Coordinate development, in-kind donation, and fundraising efforts, if applicable, in collaboration with the Development Manager.
  • Collect and submit program information to the central LGR office: Program calendar, mid-program report, site updates, final program data, and information necessary for LGR fundraising and media relations efforts.
  • Assist the LGR office in the selection of future LGR leadership by publicizing fellowship opportunities.

Assistant Site Director Responsibilities:

  • Recruit high school students and volunteer coaches in collaboration with the Site Director and program partners.
  • Coordinate College Choice workshops and prepare College Choice materials.
  • Communicate with coaches regarding College Choice programming, including during training activities and Curriculum Planning Meetings.
  • Organize College Choice trips, panel discussions, special activities, etc.
  • Track all student College Choice assignments and student progress through College Choice goals. Collect and submit information to the central LGR office.
